Years ago had goulfer holes in my back lawn. Tried the water in the hole trick, but they would block the tunnel and stick their head up somewhere else. Finally, I got a length of OLD garden hose. Taped one end to the tailpipe of my car and the other end into the hole. Ran engine for 10 mins and have never seen them since. Guess they were buried in their own tunnel. Stefhen
I prefer the "Caddyshack" method of (it's "gopher") removal, ha. I thought you meant golfer there for a second and needed to fill in divots...if you haven't seen the movie "Caddyshack", rent it, it's HILARIOUS!
THe gophers drove us crazy at one place we lived. Did the water in the hole trick, moth balls, ammonia...but they just moved next door for a while...so we moved too. Bought a house without gophers.
Thanx guys for the input. Spelled GOLPHER to see if any would bite to my spelling, I know gopher is more original. Anyway, never thought about mothballs but the carbon monixide did the trick for me. The water treatment only watered the neighbors law. Oh well, thanks again. Stefhen
