I have some 2' or so high volunteer trees in a far corner I'd like to find a home for among friends rather than trash.

Some are fine. What I'm wondering about are a couple of the tulip poplar and walnuts (one of which that was described to me as the old old type from their childhood in her grandmother's yard...by a woman in her 60s). A few of those have brown round spots in the leaves now or other discoloration in the leaves. Just a few but for those I'm wondering should they be trashed or cut shorter than the problem leaves or perhaps wait a bit longer and the leaves will drop off naturally and be okay? Thoughts? Just hate to waste but don 't want to donate anything that would give the next person a problem.

Thanks.
