Hello, I am in the process I visiting Tree Farms in my area and would lke to purchase Blue Spruce, Spruce, White Pine trees. I would like to know which type tree have you had the best results from. It can be none of the above but I would like the trees to be full and similar to a Christmas tree. Thanks for your help !!!
We're not fans of Blue Spruce/Spruce Christmas trees, because the needles are extremely sharp. The trees can be painful to cut down/decorate/remove because of this.
I do love White pine Christmas trees, but they can be difficult to decorate too, because the needles are extremely long. They are beautiful thick trees though, and the needles are flexible and soft despite being long.
Our favorite are fir trees, such as Douglas firs. They have short, soft needles, a good Christmas tree shape, and are easy to grow.
