Just rented home w/new perennial garden. Want to be sure I don't mess things up.
Have Snap Dragons and alyssum not pruned in fall. Snap dragons still have color in stems and foliage. is it safe to cut them back now or best to wait, now, for spring. The Alyssum have died back and seeded so pretty sure safe to cut the dead foliage off or leave as mulch till spring... geez, yould think I've never done this before...

where are you located?

snaps and alyssum aren't perennials but they will self sow and bloom year after year, especially snaps.

they can both be cut way back at any time as they probably won't grow again.
