We have major mosquitos/fleas in our back patio. We live in a city and have a very small back patio. I have a bunch of planters that we had professionally done a few years ago but now I have been planting my own flowers each year. I dumped out the planters that had al the bugs and replanted mint, basil and lavender. I read that they repel mosquitoes and fleas. Does not seem to be the case as they are now swarming with them. Any ideas on how to get rid of them ? I do not want to use pesticide as we have a baby and would like to be able to sit on the patio with him. Any ideas ? Help!

One of these might work for mosquitoes: https://www.peststrategies.com/revie...-trap-reviews/

Diatomaceous earth will take care of the fleas, but you have to reapply after rain.

Unless your baby licks the ground I think its fine to use them. After 24hrs or whatever it gets absorbed so its not like the chemicals sit around. But I understand.

How about one of those fogging machines? Wont be as effective or last as long but at least you can enjoy the patio

There are plenty of insecticides that are safe to use in environments with babies. Fleas spread tapeworms and other diseases that are far more harmful than the solutions for getting rid of them.
