I am looking for recommendations for good plants to put on my east facing balcony in los angeles, it doesnt get afternoon sun.Thanks!

Since morning sun isn't as strong as afternoon sun, I would search for part shade plants.

Decide if you want year round house plants or summer flowering plants. Fuchsia, begonia, ferns might work. There are 20 species of yucca, one might be good for you.

A nursery or even home depot would have selection of part shade plants for your area.
