It is a weed. Pull it out because it will stifle your tomato plant robbing it of water, nutrients and sunlight. I see these growing in my yard all the time.
Good ID and advice from antinimby. Pokeweed. I thought it looked familiar but it doesn't grow here in the PNW.
Be sure to pull it up, roots and all, don't just cut it off at ground level. It's a perennial so if you leave the roots in the ground it will grow right back again, every year. The whole plant is poisonous, especially the roots and seeds.
