BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Officials are baffled over why someone would cut off the tops of nearly a dozen evergreen trees belonging to a man near Bismarck. Ron Koch estimates his loss at about $4,000. Authorities said it happened sometime within the last week.

Sounds like someone has a treetop fetish...
More information would be needed, but I would say a prankster is on the loose.

Actually, I'll bet the answer is quite easy. Find the neighbor with a view that is starting to be blocked by the growing trees. Examine the driver's side car carpet for sawdust.

I just checked it, try clicking on the blue arrow to get it started. Takes a sec or two to load. Love the accent, and even though they aren't wearing jackets, it looks chilly. I feel bad for this guy, I wonder why someone would do such a thing.

hmm, they don't seem tall enough to block views. Maybe he is a x-mas tree farmer and a competeting farmer did it? Or maybe he just got someone mad at him? Kind of a random crime...
