It's a kind of round plant with some spikey things on it. I may need to get a better picture.
What is it and thank you!

It looks like a perennial geranium that has gone to seed.

Another good call! I searched and that is what I came up with but it didn't sound right.
Now...is it a weed?
And...are you using an app or are you just plant-wise?

Heh. I've had both pokeweed and perennial geraniums in my garden. Maybe it's just luck

I agree it does look like Carolina Geranium. It’s usually a springtime weed here, and then dies off in the heat of the summer.

I consider myself pretty savvy abut the garden, but when it comes to weeds, the computer is my friend. I have been very well acquainted with the Weed family. Right now I am doing battle with wild violets that love my mulched beds and I am not too happy that I can't get ahead of them. I dream that they are reproducing overnight and they are!!!

That one looks weedy to me, though there are some native geraniums that are appreciated by native plant gardeners. Your local master gardener will know.

If something like that was growing in my garden here in the PNW, I'd groan "OMG, more Stinking Robert" and pull it out the second I saw it, because that's exactly what Stinking Robert looks like. The spikes are seed pods, with many, many seeds in them.

I'm just a plant nut.

I have a scented geranium that looks just like that. I love the way it smells. Kind of like lemons.
