I’m planting some of these. I am totally new to lilies. Give me advice!

Their location will be in full sun for much of the day. The bed will be amended before planting, but the soil now is not bad. I have no idea about fertilizer, or if it is too early to plant in my corner of SW WA. I can’t ever remember if we are zone 7 or 8.

I can get some advice via googling, but I’d like to hear from lily veterans.

I looked it up. I am just barely in zone 8b, at the northern limit.

Lilies like their heads in the sun but their roots in the shade, so mulch them heavily and keep them moist.

Agree about the mulching. Mine have done really well with a lot of sun.

I had to put wire cones around mine (like a tomato cage) because my dog was getting into them.

If you have dogs or you are clumsy in the garden (like I am, I step on things) that will protect them.

Mine are just coming up! They're in the more shaded back part of a sunny area. I love stargazer lilies.

No dogs. Mine will be well out of my path.

Thanks.
