Hi, this is my first time posting. I have a bougainvillea tree that is losing its leaves, some look like they've been bitten off. Is there's anything I can do other than to cut it off?
What zone are you in? Bougs usually are easy to grow, can get to be immense and some leaves may drop so don't be concerned. Don't water too much. They like a dry climate. I was in Phx AZ and I had them all over the place. Messy though. Those red thin flower petals can create a big mess. If you prune them, they come right back.

Yes, they are easy to grow as long as you are in USDA zone 9b or warmer. Here in my zone 8b an average or even mild winter will kill a Bougie. I have one in a pot and bring it in about Halloween before the first freeze. If the leaves were bitten off, what creatures do you have around? We have slugs, Deer, squirrels and rabbits, and they never bother mine (though they do munch other plants.)
