$45/hr = $90K annual salary... It seems just yesterday that hourly workers were fighting for living wage.
Haven't read your post until right now so I don't have any ideas what others have had to say, but I am guessing, in CA the price isn't too far off. We only pay our lawn guy $25 a visit if all he does is mow and edge, but we have all rick in the front so only have to have the back done. When he does other yard work for us, it does run about $40.00 and he or his workers are not here more than an hour at the longest. Remember a lot of the law guys do have helpers so there are costs involved, as well as upkeep on the equipment

But I think if I just get a quote for the total cost for the job, that should be the final answer I am looking for.
After seeing the pics, I would only do this by the hour. With 2 foot grass, I would have to go through the lot & search for any hidden rocks , tree limbs, etc. A rock could do severe damage to a mower or get thrown out to hit someone or do other damage to vehicles. Hard to estimate time with these unknowns, unless someone already knew the property & knew it to be clear.
