I have this beautiful summer basket and I am having trouble figuring out what I’m doing wrong! On my creeping Jenny the leaves seem to be dying off from the top of the plant. It’s branching off at the bottom with new growth but the top is hit and miss. Can someone help me figure out how I can correct this. I thought maybe it was in an area that was getting to much sun. I moved it and I still have the same issue. Thanks in advance!

When you say the leaves are dying off near the top of the plant, are you talking about the leaves on the stems that are growing directly out of the base of the plant, the leaves nearest to the roots? If that's the case there is nothing you can do to prevent that, they are the plant's oldest leaves that are dying back naturally. Just pluck off those dead leaves. The newest leaves are those that are growing at the ends of the stems as the stems keep on growing longer.

Exactly! The ones that are almost now touching the ground are thriving.

Creeping Jenny is like a weed here; thus I only grow it cascading out of containers. Unless you have signs of fungus such as round brown spots or some type of fuzz on it, the plants most likely need pruning if you want to force more growth from the base. (I admit I treat my Creeping Jenny brutally to keep down the chance of disease. Its in concrete planters I found on the side of the road and I have nandina in them. I don't usually water until the creeping jenny wilts. Both see to handle neglect well.)
