Haha. Same here.

I grew Supremo Roma tomatoes this year and they were amazing! I’m already thinking about adding additional plants next year. I’ve harvested around 42lbs of tomatoes so far this year and most were from the Supremo Roma plants.

Other varieties that did well for me this year, in Zone 5B were: Sun Gold, Amish Paste, San Marzano.

I also tried Federle tomatoes, but those were a bit finicky. Not sure I’ll grow those again next year.

Celebrity has done the best for us this year, much better than Early Girl. Last year San Marzano and another paste variety (forget the one) did great- this year not so good.

We definitely haven't the yield we hoped for. We've maybe taken off 15lbs so far. We thought for sure with the really warm/hot summer we'd get a good crop. Tomatoes have been the tough nut for us for a few years. We were warned though- this is a tough place without a greenhouse.

We did test the red film mulch vs. no red film with tomatoes this year. It definitely made a difference in plant size and fruit production.

I haven't a clue what it is, some sort of small volunteer cherry tomato, but we had enough of them to make ketchup which hasn't happened before even with bigger tomatoes. It's an indeterminate variety since it just keeps making tomatoes and not making a whole pile of them and then dying off like the determinate varieties. It would be nice if it were a bigger variety of cherry tomato. Maybe I'll plant a romano in there and let it cross pollinate with the small vigorous cherry and see what happens.

It's mid-September and the little tomato is still out there making tomatoes although now Cypress the sheep has discovered tomatoes so we're getting less of them now. I don't think sheep are supposed to eat tomatoes, but he didn't get the memo.

Had the last of our yellow pear tomatoes from our garden on our salad this evening. I never dreamed that I would still be eating garden tomatoes on November 15th. Been an interesting year tomato wise.

The Youtube version by Mason Williams (Classical Gas & Smother's Brothers writer) has more acoustic play. He plays.
