My 5 day average (ground) has risen to 43.8, but another round of cold is here. It only got to 36 degrees today (air not soil).

Yes, keep an eye on that 5 day average.

Chilly this weekend but 10 day outlook shows upper 60’s.

Might be an all time record of getting pre-emergent down this early.

My 5 day average is just three degrees lower than yours with the temp's getting into the low 60's six out of the next ten day forecast. I will buy the Lesco that you recommended from Lowe's tomorrow.

My soil temperature five day average is 49.6 this morning. The air temperature right now is 29 which will be the coldest temperature for the next ten days. I got an additional inch of slow rain yesterday. To be prepared I bought my second bag of Lesco a few days ago while I could find it. I will put this out around mid to late April.

I don’t know my soil temp. I couldn’t hammer a nail into it- it’s a solid block of ice.

Air temperature going to the low 80s today. Can't wait to see what the soil temperature is like later this afternoon.

I like your approach I have learned over the years. Don't wait to buy the product the day or the week you want to put it down. It always helps to plan a little bit in advance.

I have one area on a small hill that I might put down a little more pre-emergent this weekend as every year it always seems to either wash or have difficulty holding.
