I was wondering about the second round of pre-emergent. My soil temperature 5 day average is 56.6. A week ago it got down to 16 degrees for two nights.

45F today with the warm rain and warm temperatures today. Ground will likely freeze tonight before returning to a warming trend during the following week.

With the first major warmth of the year (23C/73F today), soil temperatures have begun to climb. Currently 56F due to wind and clouds, but the soil reached 63F earlier in the afternoon when it was still sunny.

I am slightly above you at 63 degrees for the five day average plus it is dry, dry, dry. I may have to start watering my lawn.
