It grows so fast, particular during summer time. It can climb upward into bush, it can climb into lawn and take over good grass. It can easily grow longer than one meter or even longer, it can be pushed out from lawn, but it is hard to completely get rid of it, and if there is a little left, it can grow again.
It has been bothering me for a few years. Not sure how to completely get rid of it.
Thanks.
Edit: Is it torpedograss weed? I am afraid of using roundup, which will kill other plants.
Definitely bermuda. Good luck getting rid of it in the lawn if you don’t want to use chemicals. It has long deep roots that will usually break off if you try to just pull it up. And then it just comes back. You will have to either prepare to spend a lot of time and effort manually digging it up, or use chemicals. Roundup (glyphosate) will kill it, eventually, but it will take several applications to kill it completely. There is also Ornamec, which some seem to have success with but it has never worked well for me. I would try digging it out in a bed, that would be more doable than in a lawn. Driveways and such, I would just spray. I usually wind up killing off a section in my front yard, each fall, before seeding. It is very hard to eradicate after it has become established.
I don't think anything works on Bermuda grass - chemicals or not. It will come back.
Whoever finds a way to eradicate it (without killing any surrounding vegetation as well) will get a Nobel Price.

Roundup (glyphosate) WILL kill it. But it will take several applications. Been there done that. But it is a LOT of time and effort that will be required.
