You haven't said anything about temperatures and growing conditions where you are. What are the present night time and day time temperatures at your location? Kwanzans like warmth. How many hours per day of uninterrupted direct full sunlight does it get at this time? Kwanzan cherry trees need a minimum of 6 hours a day of direct full sunlight but to do really well ideally they should be planted in a location where they get full sun all day.

The weather has been cool but not overly so. It has ranged between -1C and 14C since I planted it. It also gets plenty of full sun until at least mid afternoon.
I wasn’t aware that they take a 3 years to bloom but this plant is around 4-5ft tall so I’m assuming it is probably about 3 years old.
