It's been alternating between 5-7 day stretches of cold (single digits at night, low 20s during the day) clear sunny weather and rain. Very little snow on the ground so far. Moose and snowshoe rabbit tracks made 2-3 weeks ago are almost unchanged. Suspect the precipitation bearing storms have been tracking south of us to hammer the PNW. They're forecasting a warm up plus 8-16" of snow starting tomorrow but I'll believe it when I see it.

I wrapped and twined my arborvitaes yesterday. It was sunny but chilly at around freezing. My fingers were numbing up and vexing me as I was trying to tie the twine. Got them wrapped, though, and happy because it’s been snowing all day today. Looks like about 3” so far of wet snow. It’s supposed to snow until midnight or so. In addition, looks like more snow may be on its way later this week. Lows in the teens. Maybe we will have a white Christmas.

It’s been in the 60s and 70s. All the plants are revived from the long dry summer heat. Too bad, the frost will eventually come. If it could stay just like this it would be great.

Edited to add:

Looks like the forecast was right. As for what's going on in my garden, if I could see my garden I could tell you about its weather !

Hoping for a cold December followed by an early spring warm up.
