We're getting ice-fog here every day now. All the annuals have died off and the perennials in the grounds and containers have gone to sleep for winter. Except I have one raised bed that's sheltered under cover at the front entrance to the building and it has a few perennials as well as roses that are still hanging in there. The roses are producing rose buds that are staying alive but are refusing to open. I gave that bed plenty of water to keep the soil and roots hydrated so the water acts as insulation for the roots.

It’s still in the 70s here on most days. We got a nice rain yesterday. The flowers are happy in this weather.

I just picked these last roses. Not sure if there will be more. One of the camellias is covered with blooms.

Cooling off here. Had almost an inch (.98) of rain 6 days ago.

-1 right now. Looking forward to -28 forecast for Wednesday, and I hope it stays frigid too. Maybe some of the new transplants to the state will have buyers remorse and flee back to whence they came....
