It’s a balmy 34F here, going down to 25F tonight. Could have another storm this Thursday. It’s winter.

Winter is not lasting long, looks like spring will be coming early.

It’s supposed to be high 50’s this Friday, which is at least 30* above average here. But Saturday the temps are going to drop to the teens. One day earlier with the temps and all the rain would be snow. Usually I’ve no problem with all the snow melting, but I’d rather have a white Christmas.

Looking for a wind chill of at least -15 Thursday night and Friday morning with possibly up to 3" snow. We're not used to that cold here in western Ky!

Yeah, it's looking like about 2/3rds of the 48 are going to be screwed if anyone wants to fly by the end of the week.

My advice? GET OUT NOW!!

We are finishing our cold and wet year with a very unseasonably cold start to summer. Today it was, once again a day with a temperature range of about F58 to 68 and a strong wind. Thankfully mostly fine. Much more September weather than December. Fortunately the forecast for Christmas Day is promising.

We're going to possibly break some records here. -39 for lows this Thursday, then up to 40deg on Sunday. That's an 80 degree swing in about 3 days.

Cold temps through Christmas, but rapid warmth is near.

My garden is empty, but it will be getting down to -5 tomorrow, with 2+" of snow. It will not warm above freezing until Christmas day. Next week will be nice after this.

Montana would be a great place to live if not for the winters.
