We've only had 0.05" of rain in the past two weeks, with less than 0.1" forecasted for the upcoming week. Would be nice to get some proper rain at some point...

Garden couldn’t be doing better for early July with it receiving nearly 4” of rain this weekend and temps in the upper 70s.

I just want to say how much I've been enjoying reading the updates and seeing the weather maps that get posted in this thread. It's great to read the first-hand weather related gardening experiences and local reports from other people scattered about North America. Thanks OP for starting this thread.

We had so many months of rain and cooler temps since the beginning of the year that spring got off to a super late start. Most of the plants that would normally start up in the early spring are 3 months behind but they are in full bloom now along with the summer plants. The weather for this week in my garden is forecasted to be mostly sunny with occasional clouds, temps in the low 70's at night with a pleasant evening breeze and in the afternoons the temps have been in the upper 70's to mid 80's.

So far I have not seen any butterflies or hummingbirds this year. I don't know where they went and I miss them.

The warmth has been rapidly melting the winter snow packs in the high mountains so the lakes and rivers are very high now and for the first time in years in my location the mosquitoes are out in full force, utterly rampant. Yesterday the mosquitoes zeroed in on me working in shady places outside and were so bad they drove me back indoors. Today I broke down and went to the store and picked up some spray on Deep Woods Off mosquito repellent to spray on myself when I went out to work in the gardens. That worked well at keeping away the hordes of nasty little blood thirsty suckers. Yay!
