Storage building is huge like 10x20 maybe larger. It's sitting on bricks on the corners and the grass underneath was not removed for the idea of using a thin concrete base underneath where the concrete would not be supporting the building just occupying the areas between the concrete block support legs. A pump spray full of grass killer could be used. The area does not get any sunlight.
Any other ideas you have used?
Thanks.
Your post is somewhat unclear. Are you asking about how to kill the grass under a shed?
Everything under the shed will eventually die off. If you want to kill the little bit that is on the edges and still receiving sun and growing, then certainly spray with Roundup. What the heck else would you even do? Kind of an odd question really.

Do you want to kill off anything growing underneath the shed and nearby if herbicides have not worked? Lay down cardboard and several inches of mulch or gravel on top of that. Periodically spray to kill the opportunistic weeds/seeds that have blown in on top of the gravel/mulch overlay. You can use herbicides, or something less permanently toxic, like industrial (30%) vinegar.
Vinegar is acetic acid. It harms the soil by killing off all the good microbes. But eventually they grow back. Roundup will only kill the growing tips of plants it touches. Soil microbes and earthworms are unaffected.
It's been sitting there for 2 years and the grass has not died yet.
It won't die if it is getting any light at all. You do realize that grass does not have to have direct light to grow, right? So the edges under a shed, will always be conducive to plant life, unless you spray an herbicide to kill it. Any plants underneath, other than around the outside edges (maybe a foot or so depending upon how far off the ground the shed is), should be gone.

Roundup will kill the entire plant. If it is bermuda grass or some other very difficult plant to kill you will have to spray a few times, but it definitely kills the plant. I use it all the time.

Why is it a problem unless you have to mow the grass under the shed. If so, you could get one of those robot lawnmowers.
