The 2 new crepe myrtles are growing like crazy, giving them a little bit of blooming fertilizer and soon they will be sprouting their flowers. Stay tuned…..

I just planted an Enduring Summer white dwarf crape Myrtle. The south side of my garage has seen many plants come and go. If anything will do well there, this should.

Are your crepe myrtles taking longer to bloom this year?

I noticed due to the dryer conditions, like many other perennials, things are a little bit behind schedule that typically are in bloom by now.

Mine usually don't bloom until mid-July at the earliest. That may change this year with the mild winter.
