Those things are horribly destructive and in all my life I've never before seen such massively huge swarms of big aggressive beetles as what arrived here with last summer's repeating heat waves and drought.

Don't get your hopes up too high, I had some this summer despite a colder than average January, and your winters are milder than Southern Ontario's.

LOL. Thanks. I'm being realistic, I know we're too warm here for the cold to kill them but I can still hope for a worst case scenario for the swarms of nasty stink bugs.

I discovered something strange about them. Most of them stink awfully and that makes me sneeze a lot, but some of them actually smell like some kind of nice almost minty pansy floral perfume. It still makes me sneeze though I'd like to figure out why some of them smell like nice flowers.

What colour are they over there? They're mostly brown here but I've also seen a couple green ones.

The marmorated are medium brown with darker brown patterns on them. Sometimes they look like they have numbers or letters of the alphabet printed on their backs. Last year I saw one that had the distinct number 2858 on its back. LOL. Also seen some solid light green non-patterned ones with yellow eyes but they are a bit smaller and uncommon.
