Mexican heather? Although I don't think their blooms are that large.

Is there some reason you can't get a picture of the actual flower, up close, or can't ask your neighbor what it is?

I have some of this, creeping phlox is on the tag, some in this color and some in bright pink-magenta.

They also come in purple, lilac and white. Maybe a couple others.

Where the OP is listed the creeping phlox would just now be coming out and starting to really show.

Not really. In order to be able to identify it we need a CLOSEUP of only a FEW flowers & leaves in ONE PICTURE.


You could also take a cutting of it to a Plant Nursery for an ID from someone there who knows their plants.
