I found a tumbling composter at a garage sale for $10. It is so fast and easy. I did have one of the units that the city had, but I wasn't that dedicated to turning the stuff over, and it never produced much compost. Of course, that is ALL my fault for not working it, but the tumbling one is really easy, and very fast.
We stop by Starbucks and get the grounds for your garden often and use them in the compost and for the plants.
Check out garage sales and where people are moving and are not going to take it with them.

Lucky YOu!
Do you need to take a container to Starbucks? If so.....what do you bring in?
Where I live Texas my city gives out free compaoers that are provided by hte agricutural dept to them. Each person is allowed two. I actauly have three having inherited one from my fatehr in law. The fuuny thig is we threw left over cantaloupe in one one year and the next we had the best cantaloupe I have ever tasted.
Starbucks packages them in cool little foil bags. They put them in metal buckets near the door usually. If the bucket is empty, you can always ask them if they have any grounds available. They will sometimes give you a huge platic bag full of grounds.

We've used mesh before, but now I'm going to use a trash can with holes drilled in.
