Put a 2nd feeder up yesterday. A little birdie came looking for the one we usually have on the west deck of our house. Last night at dusk there were 4 at that feeder and 2 at the other one. It shouldn't any more, but it still amazes me how they remember where the feeders are every year.

And when they fly in, and then out of the yard, it's always the same route. Like a little birdie highway.
I had another hummer come to my window feeder today. I had just gone in the kitchen to get the nectar out to put new nectar in the feeders (one feeder is on window in front of sink). I turned around to turn on the music on my phone and turned back to the sink and a hummer showed up. I think I scared her as much as she scared me, she didn't even get on the feeder, she just left. It was fast and fleeting, but long enough to know it was a female!
I have screwed a brown Kahlua bottle into the red plastic feeder.. It just fits..
Also, I have a gourd that is painted red with a very small entrance hole,, Last year humming birds used it for a nest....
