How cool! Glad someone revived this thread as I saw one of these on a plant the other day and had no clue what it was. Love those beneficial bugs!

I've been searching the web to find out what they were as I've been seeing several on my deck. Now have even smaller ones. Weird to see what looks like moss walking around. Glad I found this site and the answer I'd been looking for.

Omg I found the same thing moving on my trashcan outside coming from football practice but I was young and not knowing at first I used a stick to try to pick it up but It was very sensitive so it kinda got smushed a little after that I was thinking I may have discovered a new insect because that thing can blend in to the grass and no one will ever know so I thought I was the only one that seen this I live in Fayetteville N.C so I don't know if they are just down here or everywhere I think I just got lucky to find it on my trashcan at first I thought it was a ant under sum moss then I looked at it more and realized it just looked like a piece of moss moving by itself then I seen under it and there were little tiny legs that's when I relized I may have killed a new insect lol but that cool to know that I'm not the only person that seen this
