Hi happydawglady. Sometime soon after you plant them the leaves will die down. You won't see your flowers & leaves again until next spring. Tulips come up and bloom once a year.

Unhappy Oh, now you've made me very sad Waterlily

Oh NO, darn City Data froze up and stole my answer before I could submit it !

Anyways Waterlily, should I decide I want to move this year, is it okay for me to leave the bulbs in their original container and keep watering until I decide what I'm going to do?

Thanks

Yes that would work. Just leave them in the pot and water once in a while. If you decide not to move just plant them. Don't plant too deep just cover them with soil.
Good luck with your tulips.

Talking Thanks again Waterlily

I think what has me confused about my 'tulips' is last year I could have sworn all my neighbors had tulips in bloom in their yards. And since we are still in a dormant state here in beautiful Boise, I figured maybe my tulips would 'bloom' again in April/May when love is in the air and plants are singing their angelic songs !!

A girl can dream, can't she????
