I'm getting a lot of ripe tomatoes finally. Sadly my tomato plants look like doo...but this does not seem to have affected the crop. The lemongrass I bought is big and pretty and makes delicious tea. I'm definitely growing it again. Currently I have more beans than I can eat, and am getting okra still.

Surprisingly the seeds I put in for the fall veggies seem to have pretty much all sprouted. That was quick! Well except the lettuce, but I think I put too much dirt on them.

A handful of okra isn't worth worrying about. I still have our potted peppers, they should be around for another month or so.

Default Good year for eggplant!

Check out the latest eggplant from my backyard raised beds. Boy what a great year this has been for almost everything!

Absolutely Gorgeous! Makes you almost not want to eat them right.

Those are BEAUTIFUL! Admittedly, I'm not much for eggplant, but my Ichiban has produced 34 eggplants so far (grown in a bucket). Not sure if that's "normal" or not, but according to a neighbor who's been growing for 40 years, she's never seen anything like it.

Ugly or pretty I wouldn't want to eat them: I have tried and tried, I will just continue to look at them and will never eat one again. As for growing them, forget it. If I don't want to eat it, certainly don't want to bother growing them. Now I have, in my old age decided Okra is really pretty good. No, not at the top of the veggie list for me, but I will plant it again. It is great grilled.

I custom made a potato plow for my Gravely that works like a charm in my loamy soil. I plowed out 9 rows and most of them had more potatoes than this one. I averaged over 1 bushel per row.
