Talked to my brother in the mountains of ID yesterday. He has his plants in planters, some even in the topsy-turvies - and has them on carts on wheels. He wheels them outside at 10 AM, back inside at 4 PM (MDT). They are still getting frost too!

We are not getting frost here but our temps have dropped almost 30º the past several days down to 50's again. We replanted our green beans now the ground had gotten colder and we've been blasted with all these rains again. I can tell gardening season here is starting out rough hope we get some nice produce yields from it.

Been in the 90s here. Our last frost was May 16. It was very light and did no noticeable damage in my yard. Just down the street, annuals and some tender perennials didn't fare so well. I can't imagine life in a lower zone.

The weather has been crazy this year. It is raining here again!!! I'm worried my poor plants will float away.

Weather has been weird here too. Yesterday was in the 70's today will be in the 50's with heavy rain. I don't think my tomato plants are liking this. They aren't growing much, but they aren't dying either, so I'm just going to leave them be and hope for the best.

However, I did harvest my first strawberries. Oh, they were delish! There's quite a few more that are almost ripe. Eagerly waiting for them to ripen fully. Mmmmmmm... I love strawberries!

My brother got me a plant a few years ago. Seems to be an everbearing variety. I have it in a pot and it produces small sweet berries from June through to the first frost. Last year I had a berry or two in November!

In the nursery (ornamentals) we call it "making ice"(turning on the irrigation system)........can be cause for much frustration trying to push the zones. Dontcha know!

My cherry tomatoes have been green for about 20 days. How long did it take your's to go red?

How can you tell when a jalapeno is ripe to pick?

Do you know if I can grow strawberries in North Florida?
