I'm a terrible gardener. I don't know anything except how to grow weeds. But this spring I had a positive attitude and bought some veggie plants. To my surprise they're all thriving! But my peppers are the wrong color. I kept the marker and it definitely says "sweet yellow pepper." I hope they weren't mis-marked. Do they eventually turn yellow?
Personally I haven't found much difference between red peppers and yellow other than the color aesthetics. red seems to have a little more flavor. Enjoy your gardening prowess!!

sounds like you are doing a great job of growing yellow peppers.
Yes, they were probably mis-marked and yes, we are all better at growing weeds than anything else. I am amazed at how our grass has as many weeds as grass and our veggie garden has as much grass as veggies. Go figure?
It sure does look like they were mislabeled, something that happens a lot as people pick up the markers to read and put them back with the wrong plant. I can't count the number of flowers I've brought home with a different color than expected once they bloom
Anyplace that describes the ripening process for sweet peppers usually describes it going green to yellow, green to yellow to red, or green to red so it does sound like waiting won't make the color go to yellow. Hope they taste good nonetheless!
