We've darn near had a flash flood here over the last few days, the blooms on my azaleas are washed away and my tulips are limped over. Even some of the trees that were leafing out now look rough.

That's what I've been doing. And I got a terrible case of poison ivy on my forearm last week, the vines are still brown and I couldn't tell if I was into poison ivy or weeds. I had long sleeves and gloves on, but I still got it bad. I will be so happy when everything is green!

Nothing is blooming here but crocuses so far. Spring is late this year.
My old ones look like this too. My tulips are in bloom here. Next in line, my full bearded irises(my personal favorite)!

Elke, are you in Huntington NY? If so, I have a mystery for you.

I was up there around March 15. The daffs were barely pushing through in most of the yards, except around the pond near a motel called The Chalet. There, several were in full bloom! These did not look planted (it's kind of an abandoned spot, I believe there used to be a chinese resaurant there but all you see now are the building's foundation).

Any thoughts? Something magical about being in a spot where chinese food was once cooked, maybe?

Hi Normie, yes I'm in Huntington NY
I remember the name "The Chalet", but at the moment I can't place the location. Will try to ask around if anyone remembers and will check it out!
Thanks for the "mystery" - love solving them

It may just be a "warm spot"
