What plants and trees are blooming in your garden, neighborhood or local park right now? It's neat to see the huge variety of things that bloom at different times in different places. Post a few pics if you can. Here's a few I've seen the past couple of days in southern cal:
Bird of Paradise.
Yucca flower:
Prickly Pear cactus fruit:
We've had only 3 inches of rain in 9 months in my area, so not much in the way of natural things blooming. Show us what's happening in your area.

Oh, I'm very envious!!!
Here in Massachusetts, all that is blooming for me are the snowdrops, some crocus, and the two winter aconite (Eranthis) out of the fifty fall-planted corms that the squirrels somehow missed digging up and eating.
I do have pussywillow catkins (one with red catkins and another with black), if I can get away with calling that "blooming".

Nothing yet. I did notice my tulips just poked through the dirt yesterday though. We have a few weeks yet before anything blooms. You can see a hit of green in the grass though.

Beautiful pix. The desert is so beautiful, year-round.
Croci and early daffodils in Philadelphia. It's in the high 70s today, so that should prompt some flowering trees to pop their buds.

My daffodils are in full bloom, my tulips are almost there. I planted some pansies yesterday. My p-willow bushes are a bee smorgasboard right now. Our ornamental pear trees are starting to flower too ... I love this time of year ... everything is so new.

Much too cold for blooms here too.
It's in the 40's and 50's and temps are supposed to plummet next week.
On there 14-day forecast we have a high of 28 F and snow on April 11th.
VERY NICE PICTURES recycled! Thanks!
