Hi,

I need to level my ground on my back yard. There are some small holes. I believe the people who laid the sod did not do it properly. What is the best way?

If you have serious holes, not just low spots, you can cut the sod and roll it back, then fill the low spot with soil. Tamp the fill, then relay the sod. If the area is just low and not an actual hole, you can topdress with soil and gradually fill the area.

I read online somewhere that you can topdress the area at the rate of 1" 2 times per year without killing the grass. (that's a total of 2" of soil a year)
