A few months ago, my boyfriend bought me a couple bags of tulips bulbs from Amsterdam (way cooler than a keychain!) and they have been sitting untouched in their bag in the back of my closet ever since. We just moved into together about 2 or 3 weeks ago, so I didn't really have the chance to plant them (in pots, because we live on the 6th floor in the middle of Madrid). Our terrace gets sun sun sun all day long and it is SUPER hot (as anyone who has ever spent a summer in Spain would know...) As it's now the middle of June, I imagine it's far too late to plant them now, but I was just wondering if anyone here knew when an appropriate time to plant them would be. I also need information on how big my pots need to be, how close together I can plant the bulbs, etc etc. I work at a greenhouse back in the states during the summers, but we don't sell tulips and thus, I've never planted them before. So, if anyone could help me out, that would be great, cheers!
