I use the vinegar for salad dressings and sauces, really yummy!
For pesto I use basil, pine nuts, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and a little heavy cream.
Super easy, quick, and totally delicious!
I am getting ready to pick figs and grapes this morning.
Enjoy your figs. When I was a littel girl we had a fig tree. I miss them and you see them rarely in the stores. If you do see them they are outrageously expensive. I am the only one in the family that likes them. I don't think anyone else has tasted them, just think they would enjoy one. How do they know?
Thanks nita. I gave the ones I picked today to the kids. My SIL hates fig newtons but he likes fresh figs. I have plenty more coming on. I got the pectin so I could make some no sugar grape jelly or jam.
You guys all have fantastic garden weather! We FINALLY have a heat wave going on: picked japanese long red radish, bunch onions, and FINALLY see all the seeds I've planted over the last four months daring to get their heads above the ground! good luck!
I never have luck with radishes. Picked some cherry tomatoes..
