My zuchinni and yellow squash have all but succumbed to mildew. This happened last year as well, after doing well in this location in the past. What can I do to treat the soil to prevent recurrence next year?

it is my understanding that this is a foliage problem not a soil problem. do they get enough air circulation? do you water at night? try rotating crops because your plants may be extra weak or strained and that is why they are suspectible to mildew.

Captan is a fungicide that you could use. It is the active ingredient in rose dust.

I'm sure there is an organic method too, but if you need fast results Capatan is an option.

EXTOXNET PIP - CAPTAN
