Are the blueberries grown in New England of the same quality, taste, as the ones grown in Tenn.??
And from what time of the year do they grow?
Thank you,
Countrylv22

I suspect the blueberries are slightly different in taste--differing soils and water, but they sure are good.

The blueberries we had here in NH were far better than those we had in NYS - plumper and jucier....fantastic! Never had any in TN, so can't compare them, though

Thumbs up To Windchimes03561! & To Skytrekker!

Hello EVERYONE!

TO WINDCHIMES03561 & SKYTREKKER!

Thank you so much for the input! I appreciate it!
How much have all paid for a pint of BLUEBERRIES there?
And do you find them all year long, or just certain months of the year?
Thanks a bunch!

Sorry if I'm hijacking...

I grew up near Boston...I miss the blueberries SO much. The best were always the ones that grew wild, the high bush berries...

We used to have a family friend who made a wonderul blueberry cake, no need of frosting it was SO good. Brings back wonderful childhood memories.

My Mom would go out and pick berries and freeze them, then my dad would eat them frozen with a little cream over them.

Of course we can't forget blueberry waffles and pancakes...yum

At times I don't buy into this rhetoric that something tastes better because it is from one location vs. another, especially alot of supposed "superior" product and recipes that come out of New York. Bit I have to admit, there is something about Maine blueberries that make them delectable. I love fresh blueberry pancakes more than almost anything and the blueberries are what makes the world of diference between the tastiness I've experienced in Maine as opposed to New Hampshire. Yes, bordering states, yet Maine blueberry pancakes almost never disappoint, yet I've yet to experience any that I would gush over from New Hampshire. About the only thing I give Maine the nod over NH!

We didn't buy the blueberries, they came from a friend, who had them growing on his property, so I never even priced them anywhere and can't answer you on the cost.....I just know they were the best I've ever tasted! I don't believe I've ever had any from Maine, so I guess I'll have to take unknown stuntman's word that Maine's are better than New Hampshire's
