That's pokeweed! The berries turn purple...
If you dont want this plant around, pull it promptly, roots and all, as the roots get more difficult to pull the longer they're in the ground.

Pokeweed is the common name; the fancy official one is Polk.

Some people here eat poke weed when its small They mix it with eggs. Some say if ya don't cook it right its poison I just pull it up when it comes up here and throw it away

Poke WEED. Pull it, yank it, burn it before the berries turn purple and it pops up everywhere, even in your houseplants.
