My lilac has small blooms on 8 different branches. It's November 20, and it's never bloomed in the fall before. It's about ten years old. Is this ok? Is it going to bloom again in the spring?
Chances are, maybe. It depends on the variety. Korean lilacs take less winter chill/dormancy than some others. I've had azaleas bloom in the fall after going dormant due to heat/drought over the summer. You'll probably get blooms on other branches, but those buds that set this summer won't have time to reset this winter. At least that's my guess.
My lilac is not a year old yet and will hopefully bloom this spring.

This is correct, we had this problem with lilacs back in CA. and had flowers as late as the beginning of Dec. before it got cool enough to put the plant to sleep..
In spring, other branches would flower..yet, from the looks of everything, the plant was otherwise fine..
