Over the past year, I have made a couple of gardening mistakes a la planting guys who need sun in full shade and vice versa. Planting something that needs a lot of water in a dry place and so on. So far these have been small plants that I can easily move. But, now I have a dilemma.
I went buck wild and planted a bunch of fruit trees last month. I planted one of the cherry trees on the south edge of my front yard between and a little south of two mature trees. I figured it would be okay with the south-facing exposure.
I can't remember the exact type of cherry, but I know it needs full sun. Do you guys think I overestimated the amount of sun in that location? My neighbor came over and said "Dat dere tree gon die, gal!" lol but not in those exact words. Now I'm worried!
I almost crippled myself planting the fruit trees this year, and I sure as foo foo don't want to transplant another tree. Whenever I look at the tree, it seems to be getting a lot of sun. Do I really have to move it?
If I move it, once I recover, can I plant another fruit tree in that spot?
