Our hummers started coming in around May 15th and now we see them all day long. One of them is a Ruby throat, and then we have two calliopes. They like to fight over who is going to eatfirst. How do we solve this problem? We had two feeders but they still fought.

You could have five feeders for two birds and they would still argue. I suppose you have noticed that they do not talk kindly to each other. Feisty little critters them hummers!!! From time to time I watch them lite on my German Shepherds' butt. I've seen them actively attack crows and they seem to enjoy baiting a cat. My cat no longer goes close to the feeders.

I don't know why they make feeders with more than one perch, since the little buggers won't ever share.
