will they survive outdoors? I am moving to Savannah, and have a perfect place for them (2) at my front door. It is shaded, not direct sun, but there is light.... I don't think I can have them in my new office area, and right now they're on top of my china cabinet in the house and they don't really like it there. There isn't another place for them here or at the new apartment, because the cats will eat them........Outdoors is really my only option.

I would think in Savannah you would be just fine. What have you got to lose since that is your only option? Just try it and see. Seems like I remember seeing them in that area before.

They would probably make it through mild winters, but one really cold winter and I think they'd croak. Thought about trying them in my yard once, but never did. Had too many pot plants left over from funerals! Hate watering pots.
