Yep. papaver somniferum. Once the petals fall off in a day or two, you'll get these cool seed pods. Leave them alone and they'll reseed on their own. Or you can collect the seeds and scatter them in early October in your area wherever you want them to grow. Collecting seeds is done once the seed pods turn brown and the plant dies. They'll be tiny seeds. This is the same poppy called Breadseed Poppy. Or opium poppy. I have no clue how to make heroin from them. I wouldn't suggest it.

Thanks, paperhouse. No, opium dealing is NOT on my to-do list. I'd rather not be arrest. Who would water all these plants!?!

I understand. Just leave them be and they'll reseed themselves. Mine are doing the same.
