Now I'm wondering if they changed the way it works. Used to be it would come up with a list of names in Rootsweb and then you could narrow that by spouse, dates, etc.
Now it has Social Security hits at the top and references to public and private member trees?? Am I right or going nuts here??
I don't do that many searches on Rootsweb, but if I do that's usually what I get too. It will state the name and "Matches found in x of xx databases". Is that what you're getting?
Rootsweb made some changes when Ancestry.com bought them a few years back. There are still databases available with free information, but not as many as before.
