Many families have a story or two about some great, great, great grand mother or father being a full Native American, but now with so many getting DNA testing, these stories are proving to be just that, stories.

I'm not sure how accurate DNA testing is or really can be when detecting such small traces of ancestry.
I did a DNA test to make sure. From the DNA test I have native american ancestry. I am a pale skin but the DNA proves it. I don't know how to find out which tribe I descended from though. Does anyone know how to find out?

Unfortunately currently there's no real way to figure that out DNA wise (unless you happen to match a cousin I guess that's of a high percentage and belongs to a specific tribe). You need to find your paper trial to figure that out.
a lot of native americans have the same dna as white folks, they believe they came from the same neck of the woods thousands of years ago, native cross the siberain alaska route, white folks cross siberian germany route. so its hard to detect native america,

Not really true, Native Americans have been separated from "white" Europeans for 10-15k years or more, that's a lot of time for DNA to differentiate.
I think this may be where my Native American ancestry may be-in the New Mexico Rio Grande area. What tribes populated these areas back in the early centuries? I am just curious what tribe I may be descended from.
I know that I am honored to have Native American ancestry (no one in my family ever told me any stories of any native americans within the family though). I just wish there were more family members alive to get possible connections to the particular tribe I may be from. When you take the DNA test is it your maternal line with Native American ancestry or your paternal line? I know on my paternal side the family was from the Oklahoma/Arkansas/and Pennsylvania regions. The maternal side was from Spain/France.

What percentage are you? On 23andMe you get your DNA relatives. If you get Native Americans turning up you could ask them which tribe. This would probably only work if you had a fairly large percentage. If not you would have to do alot of genealogy research to establish the paper trail. If you can find your way back to one of the Indian census's (example: Durant Rolls) that will give you the information also.

Which DNA test did you take?
