I found a photo of a young woman in an old abandoned house in my town of Franklin, TN.

the back reads:

Jennie Burnett
Valedictorian
Age 17 years
1901

I was hoping to reunite with its family.

email me at relax@bluemoonfarmbb.com if you have any info or interest.

Personally I would not list my e-mail on this public forum. Ask to be DM to your account for safety reasons.
You may want to post your message with Ancestry.com's message board for the area your seeking information. I've used the Ancestry message boards with great success.
Good luck, someone may very happy to have that photo.
PS. Ancestry has free trial periods so it won't cost you anything during that time period.

There's a member on Ancestry.com with a Jennie Burnett born about 1883 in Tennessee in their family tree. But this Jennie appears to have lived in Grundy County, not Williamson. Could still be the same individual if the family later moved to Franklin and left the photo behind. You can sign up on Ancestry.com with a free account to contact the owner of the tree to find out more.

What a beautiful photo! And the good news is that these threads show up in Google - so someone searching for info on her in the future may find this thread!

The original poster seems to be a business owner, and is probably used to having her email address on the web. I wouldn't worry about her!

I did a quick check on FamilySearch.com. The Jennie Burnett mentioned above is married, and Burnett is her husband's name. I noticed another Jennie Burnett born in 1884 (would make her 17 in 1901). Marion, TN is shown as her place of residence, and she is listed with other Burnetts like her widowed father and nieces. At the time of the 1920 census, she was 36 years old and single.

BTW, that is a LOVELY photograph, and I applaud your efforts to return it to her family.
