My great grandmother lived until she was 100 and died in 1948, so I did not know her. The rest of my family died in their 80's, but my one aunt who looks just like my gg is now 92 and going strong. I don't have their body type and I wonder if that's the key even though my grandfather (gg's son) died of a heart attack at 55 and he had the same body type.

Three of my Grandparents are still alive: Mom's side GF - 94; GM - 90; Father's side GM -87 (the other died of Cancer at the age of 82).

I have a feeling I will die young

My great grandfather was one month shy of 100, his daughters did well living until their mid ninties, and one of them is still with us at 102..... which is why I was so shocked my mom died at 82 -- it just didn't seem right.

On her father's side a number of them hit their 90's, too.... mainly women.

My grandmother and grandfather on my dad's side are both 78 years old and they are in very good health. My grandparents on my mom's side are in their late 60's and act about 80. Yikes California messed with them! My family doesn't usually live long. I've looked at my family tree several times and my relatives passed at a young age. I was afraid of not living long at first, now it's whatever... I guess you can say I'm ready

My great grand aunt died a week before her 100th birthday. I always thought that was a shame.

One set of great grandparents almost made it to 100. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary.

In general, 80's is pretty typical for the family.

I have 7 full sets of aunts and uncles still alive and even more scary....they are all still married! They all range 60-75 in age with most around 65-70.
